Szentendre - $50 City: Esztergom Duration: 5
Hours
Esztergom, the former residence of the Hungarian kings and seat of the
Archbishop, is one of the highlights of this excursion. Your tour
starts with a visit of the vast domed basilica, the largest cathedral
in Hungary. Built in the early 19th century, it incorporates an ornate
red marble chapel from an earlier church. Continue along the Danube to
the imposing ruined fortress of Visegrad for a glorious view of the
“knee” of the Danube. Then drive along the banks of the Danube to the
artists’ village of Szentendre, a charming little town with two main
churches showing signs of Serbian Orthodox influence and brightly
painted Baroque houses in the town center. Szentendre has developed as
a center for ceramics, thanks to the influence of the local artist
Margit Kovacs, who lived from 1920 to 1977. Continue south to Budapest
along the scenic west bank of the River Danube.
The Schonbrunn Palace - $55 City: Vienna
Duration: 3 Hours
A coach takes you to one of the most beautiful monuments of Vienna,
Schönbrunn Palace. The castle was built on the template of
Versailles, the residence of the French King Louis XIV. As one of the
most important cultural heritage in Austria, the castle and its gardens
were declared as World Cultural Heritage sites. The reign of Maria
Theresia signifies the most splendid era for Schönbrunn. The
castle and park were the center of the courtly and political life and
under the personal guidance of the Empress, it was remodeled and
expanded to become a Royal residence. A complex with a total of 1,441
rooms and halls had been created. You will visit most of the ceremonial
rooms and then have the opportunity to walk around in the beautifully
designed gardens of the palace. Sound
of Vienna Concert - $65 City: Vienna Duration: 3
Hours
Enjoy an evening full of music a special orchestra event in a local
venue sparks off a unique firework of the most beautiful compositions
from the king of waltz, Johann Strauss, as well as beloved Mozart.
Excellent musicians, opera singers and magical ballet dancers present
an evening full of Viennese charm with beautiful waltzes, polkas and
operetta melodies performed on their highest level.
The
Weltenburg Monastary Regensburg - $70 City: Regensburg Duration: 5
Hours
A coach brings you towards Weltenburg, with a brief detour to the “Hall
of Liberation,” a historical classical monument upon Mount Michelsberg
above the city of Kelheim. This impressive marble building was
fashioned after the Parthenon in Athens and towers high above the
Danube. Afterwards board an excursion boat, which takes you past the
former city of the Wittelsbacher through the nature reserve
”Weltenburger Enge” to the Benedictine abbey of Weltenburg. The
monastery, founded by Irish or Scottish monks in about 620 AD, is the
oldest monastery in Bavaria. After a short tour of the abbey church,
you can taste the famous dark beer of Weltenburg, which is brewed on
site in the oldest monastery brewery in the world. Nuremberg Documentation Center - $50 City:
Nuremberg Duration: 3 Hours
Visit the Nuremberg Documentation Center and view the permanent
exhibition entitled “Fascination and Terror,” which examines the
causes, context and consequences of the National Socialist reign during
the years of the Third Reich. The Documentation Center is located on
the former Nazi party rally grounds, where propagandist rallies were
held from 1933 until 1938. To this day, the remains of the buildings
with their immense proportions are a vivid testimony to the megalomania
of the National Socialist regime. This area of eleven square kilometers
was intended as an impressive backdrop for the Nazi party to
demonstrate their power, and today the site serves as a poignant
reminder of the past. The above option is only available until 15 days
prior to departure. After this time, the option may be purchased once
you are on board the cruise ship directly from the cruise line. Please
note that the price is subject to change at any time prior to purchase.
Due to the nature of this optional item, once purchased it will be non
refundable.
Excursion to Rothenburg - $45 City:
Würzburg Duration: 5 Hours

“Jewel of the Middle Ages,” with both Renaissance and Gothic
influences. Upon arrival in Rothenburg, enjoy a locally guided walking
tour highlighting the towers, city gates, walls, and picturesque
half-timbered gables of the town – all of which have remained unchanged
for centuries. View the St. Jakob parish church, which houses Tilman
Riemenschneider’s masterpiece, the Holy Blood Alter (Heiligblutaltar).
Enjoy leisure time in Rothenburg before returning to the ship. The
above option is only available until 15 days prior to departure. After
this time, the option may be purchased once you are on board the cruise
ship directly from the cruise line. Please note that the price is
subject to change at any time prior to purchase. Due to the nature of

No Worries Protection Plan
What exactly is your cancellation waiver? We have the
best
cancellation waiver in the industry-period. You can cancel your trip up
until the day prior to departure for any reason - sickness, change of
heart or any reason whatsoever-and you will receive a full refund,
minus the small cost of the insurance. That's a cash refund, not a
voucher or certificate. There's no risk when you book with Collette.
But isn't
it
expensive? Not at all!
Let's
say you were planning to take our Italian Vistas tour for 13 days. The
land-only waiver is just $170 per person. That breaks down to about
$13.07 a day-just a little over eight euros! The land and air waiver is
only $30 more. That's airplane peanuts compared to the peace of mind
you'll enjoy.
Plus,
you're
covered on tour. Our
cancellation
waiver and insurance plan covers you on tour. If you have to stop your
trip or return home early, need medical assistance or evacuation,
suffer a baggage loss or delay; or are delayed on tour for 12 hours or
more, you're covered.
Testimonials: My

accident in New Zealand…He subsequently had to be transferred by
ambulance to Invercargill (Southland Hospital) to have surgery on his
leg. He spent one week in the hospital. I am so glad we always take out
the insurance. This is our third trip with Collette and we always take
out the insurance…In spite of the accident, we had a wonderful time in
Australia and New Zealand up to Queenstown and we are very glad we took
the trip. Genevieve Gallagher, Clifton Park, NY

had one
unfortunate problem; one traveler broke her ankle…Thank goodness I
insist that my passengers take the insurance. Virginia Gratton,
