Visit www.travel.state.gov for the U.S. State Department for the latest details about passports and visa requirements. IMPORTANT: We recommend that our clients traveling abroad take a photocopy of their passport and applicable visas. It should be packed separately from your actual passport and visa. We also recommend leaving a copy at home with your emergency contact. DESTINATION FACTS & STATS Time Zone London is 5 hours ahead and Paris is 6 hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time. The currency in the England is the British Pound and in France, the Euro. Electricity The electrical current in the U.K. and France is 220V. An adaptor (which changes the physical plug) and/or converter (which changes the electric current) are necessary if you plan to use an appliance with voltage different from the standard within the country you are visiting. Please note, if your appliance has dual voltage you may still need an adaptor for the plug. When packing your electronic items for travel, please review the converter electric current level to make sure it is the same or greater than the items you are planning on using. If you plan on utilizing or transporting a sleep apnea machine, please remember to pack an extension cord and adapter plug to ensure proper function. Versailles Palace - $125 City: Paris Duration: 4 Hours During your free afternoon, enjoy an interesting visit to the incomparable Palace of Versailles. The palace and gardens of Versailles reflect the extravagant tastes of King Louis XIV, the "Sun King." On this excursion, travel by coach to Versailles where your local guide will recount the history of the palace and lead you through the various rooms of the State Apartments. Of particular interest are the Queen's bedchamber and the famous Hall of Mirrors. You then have leisure time to explore the incredible gardens, some of the most famous in the world, which took over 40 years to complete. Please note that the motorcoach is not permitted to drop off at the entrance to Versailles and the grounds of Versailles are quite large. Walking will be required to fully enjoy this excursion. Shopping in Paris’ Opéra District - $45 City: Paris Duration: 4 Hours Live the Parisian life in style as you join your tour manager on a captivating excursion to the Opera District. Due to schedule changes and availability, the operation of this optional excursion time and day may need to be changed or cancelled either before or after the departure date. Windsor Castle - $65 City: London Duration: 4 Hours Step into the formal world of the British Monarchy when you visit the stately and expansive Windsor Castle. Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II uses Windsor as both a private home and as a Royal residence where formal duties of state are performed.
