18-hole Robert Trent Jones Jr. public golf course located in Cochiti
Lake, New Mexico. Being conveniently located between Albuquerque and
Santa Fe, NM it makes for a must play. The Cochiti Golf Club is
consistently ranked as one of the best golf courses in New Mexico. To
go along with the fantastic layout of the course, it is nestled in the

The
environment at Black Mesa
is pure, absent of any man-made distractions. As you enter the site,
your first glimpse of the course gives you a taste of this vast,
dramatic property.
Designed by architect Baxter Spann, Black Mesa has a wild Irish links
look to it, particularly in the spring after a wet winter when the
native grasses are leafy and blowing in the breeze.
The course plays through dramatic sandstone ridges with Black Mesa
visible from several locations. Each hole features characteristics that
make them both strategic and memorable in its own unique way. The
layout showcases distinctive bunkering, native arroyos as hazards, and
green contouring in keeping with the scale of the natural landforms.
A great course tests both the mind and the body, and this statement
holds true for Black Mesa. From the first tee shot, you realize that
mental strategy is essential, while the course's expansive fairways and
greens allow it to be played more easily than it appears.

Opened in
2005, this Scott Miller designed Championship Par 72 course was
developed by the Pueblo of Sandia as part of the Sandia
Resort & Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico. At 7,752 it
is the longest course in NM, yet is designed for players of all skill
levels. The course winds through the rugged high desert and offers
dramatic views of the Sandia Mountains and the greater Albuquerque
area. Championship Course stretches from 5,113 to 7,752 yards and will
challenge and delight golfers of all skill levels with a memorable
layout routed through the rugged high desert landscape featuring 48
strategically placed bunkers, challenging green complexes and panoramic
views of the Sandia Mountains and greater Albuquerque area. The
facility also features a full size practice range with a double-tiered
teeing area, a 10,000 square foot practice putting green, a practice
chipping green with bunker, and a putting green next to the number 1
tee to practice those last few putts before teeing off.

Since
it was officially opened in 1967, The
Championship Golf Course
has been one of the finest facilities of its kind nationwide. It has
been nationally recognized by Golf Digest Magazine as one of the top-25
public courses in the country, and in January of 1991 Golfweek Magazine
rated all public and private courses in the country by state, and
dubbed The Championship Course the number one course to play in New
Mexico. The Course is still holding strong in the rankings seven years
later, and in 1998, Golfweek tabbed The Championship Course No. 2 in
the West, behind only the Stanford University Golf Course in Palo Alto,
Calif. The Championship Course is no stranger to major tournaments. It
was the site of the 1950, 1976 and 1992 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf
Championships as well as the 1998 NCAA Championships. In 1987 the
course was the sight of the women’s NCAA tourney. The paradise-like

Twin Warriors has garnered
numerous awards since opening in 1991. The readers of Albuquerque
The Magazine gave it the Best of the City Award in 2011, 2012 and
2013. The 2014 and 2015 awards found Twin Warriors named in the
Top Five among the best of the area. The people of Santa Ana believe
the Twin Warriors showed them the path
to the Upper World along the banks of the Rio Grande. Today, this

the Twin Warriors Golf Club offers both the championship golfer and the

Located just minutes from historic
Taos, Taos Country Club is the
ideal spot for your next great golfing experience. Jep Wille designed a
spectacular course that was carved out of New Mexico's high desert
gently rolling topology. Taos Country Club can best be described
as an Irish links style course with fairways lined by silver-green
sagebrush and scenic vistas of the surrounding beautiful Sangre De
Christo mountains and huge beautiful adobe homes scattered throughout
the desert.
The conditions are typically immaculate with well maintained bunkers,
playable roughs, smooth fast greens, and lush fairways.
Challenging arroyos, minor ups and downs, dog legs left and right, and
forced carries over native areas and arroyos to wide landing zones
contribute to a fun and challenging but very fair round. The majority
of the fairways are wide open with a playable rough but if you spray
the ball, you're lost in the sagebrush. Service is excellent, the
staff is friendly, the Terrace is a great bar with good food, and the
pace of play is perfect. It's not surprising that Taos Country
Club has a 4 Star Rating by Golf Digest, placing it among the best
places to golf in New Mexico.
